OUR STAFF

Susan Doolan, Executive Director

I  have been blessed to serve with Love INC of Mahaska County since 2014. I was part of the implementation team for transformational ministry,

have served on  the Board and, most recently, was the Transformational Ministry Coordinator.  I believe God was using that time to train me for my current role. In 2018, I felt called to join the Love INC ministry full time. I am passionate about  serving and helping the local church to help  our neighbors in need in Mahaska County. When churches come together to help our neighbors, the love of Christ is shared for all to see.

Joy Moretz, Clearinghouse Coordinator

I started as a Love INC volunteer in 2018, shortly after moving to Oskaloosa from North Carolina. I have served in the office and at Growing Hope. These roles were instrumental in preparing me for my new role as Clearinghouse Coordinator. Oskaloosa is such a welcoming community with many resources for a small town, and it is great interacting with all of our partner churches and local agencies to come together and help those in need. It is amazing to see God at work in individuals’ lives and in families. My husband, Brian, and I attend Lifehouse Community Church and enjoy the small groups there. In my free time, I love to read, be outside in nature, and walk our dog, Lexi.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

In 1998 several Mahaska County churches decided to work together to serve neighbors in need within our community and formed Love INC, a 501(c)(3) organization governed by a local board. Our local affiliate is also part of the National Love INC movement. We are financially supported by United Way, local churches, an annual fundraiser and donations from individuals.
